Peyrolles-en-Provence
Commissioned in December 2021, the Peyrolles-en-Provence floating solar farm covers nearly 12 ha. The project has its roots in the vision of materials company Durance Granulats and the municipality of Peyrolles-en-Provence to refurbish a gravel pit at the Chapeliers site, which had reached the end of its operating life.
The site produces more than 22 GWh per year, enough to meet the energy needs of some 6,400 French households.
Boralex is proud to have collaborated on this project with the municipality and the quarry operator.
