Lise Croteau

Lise Croteau is a corporate director. From 2015 to 2018, Lise Croteau was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hydro-Québec. She was Acting President and CEO of Hydro-Québec from May to July 2015.

Ms. Croteau began her career as an auditor with auditing firms and joined Hydro-Québec in 1986, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in control, risk management and financial management.

A chartered professional accountant since 1984, Ms. Croteau holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and in 2008 was named Fellow of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec in recognition of her contribution to the profession, and for her collaboration in the development of Canadian standards for derivative instruments.

Her duties at Hydro-Québec have enabled her to develop significant expertise in risk management, as she has been in charge of the company’s risk management and risk portfolio since 2008. Ms. Croteau has also been responsible for market risk management and middle office credit for Hydro-Québec’s market activities, including energy transactions on the U.S. Northeast markets, debt management and management of the company’s employee pension fund.

Ms. Croteau sits on the boards of Total Énergies SE and Québecor inc. as well as Québecor Média inc. and Vidéotron ltée (both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Québecor inc.).
